Our facility which comprises of a warehouse, administrative block and processing factory, puts Essan and the Nigerian Shea Industry on the map, showcasing a facility (with creche and worship rooms) that harvests and processes the shea directly in the region, currently employing 18 people with plans to employ up to 70 members of staff in the future.
The Shea industry has women at its core with over 16 million rural African women collecting and processing Shea kernels as a main source of income. Nigeria, as the largest Shea Producer in Africa is well-positioned to become one of the largest exporters of Shea butter.
Naturally Tribal Nigeria is an organisation focused on the sourcing and exporting of unrefined Shea Butter and other natural commodities/ ingredients from Nigeria to the rest of the world, in an ethical and sustainable manner whilst supporting and empowering our local communities. With a focus on servicing the Food (confectionery) and cosmetic industry globally, the company positions itself as a portal through which Africa’s rich resources and cultural identity can be accessed by the world through our ingredients and products.
Uncovering and untapping natural resources from Nigeria, the company prides itself on empowering the women of Africa and supporting enablement, as well as ethical and sustainable trade.
